This project included designing a $200MM first-to-field reactor exhaust processing system for an international $20B project. The scope of services included all design and project management through fabrication, testing, shipping, and assembly. The continuous gas processing systems had various filtration systems, reactors, permeators, and inerted containment systems to house the components safely. The system was required to accept a variety of gases (Hydrogen, Hydrocarbons, Water, Ammonia derivatives, inerts), extract the hydrogen fuel to less than 1 ppm impurities for recycling, and send the impurities elsewhere. The project required strict configuration management to interface effectively with varying international design agencies. A range of domestic and international codes and standards were applied to deliver quality, nuclear-grade product and successfully defend the preliminary design at approximately 50% design completion.
