Isomer performed third-party engineering due diligence for a proposed commercial lithium extraction facility taking spodumene ore and employing a novel extraction process to produce lithium carbonate for market, assessing the technologies, process scale-up viability and risks, project execution strategy, and lithium quality and market demand and supply. The technology review compared the filtration technology against traditional hydrometallurgical approaches on production capability, capital and operating costs, construction timeline, product quality, and environmental impact. A reclaimed coal mining site targeted for the facility was also evaluated for site development, modifications, and utility requirements. Isomer provided a pro forma technical review of the financial model. Findings were benchmarked against best capital project practices. Shortcomings and risks were presented with suggestions for additional work in a comprehensive technology review report highlighting red flags.
