EXPERIENCE

Tissue Machine with Water Treatment

This effort included the detailed design and procurement support for a $400 million brownfield through-air-drying (TAD) tissue machine installation and supporting infrastructure. The facility design included all processes necessary to produce premium quality parent rolls with tissue and towel converting facilities. This project was the third tissue machine on a campus that was master-planned to house four total. The campus includes administrative and maintenance offices, two raw material handling areas, four paper machines with supporting utilities, two one-million square foot storage/converting/shipping buildings, each supporting the production of two paper machines, and site-wide wastewater treatment. In support of this third machine, the project's scope also included a maintenance area, raw material handling area, a storage/converting/shipping building, and an expansion of the existing site wastewater treatment system. In addition to engineering services, construction support was also provided, including lump sum bid package development and bid process administration.
