EXPERIENCE

1800 TPD Paper Machine Conversion

Isomer was engaged to provide project management and owner’s engineering services for a $600MM TIC paper machine conversion. The project scope includes converting the existing deink facility to produce OCC pulp, rebuilding the existing newsprint machine, and installing a new starch make-down and application system. Additional upgrades include a new winder, finish roll handling system, and strapping system to convey rolls to the existing warehouse. While the thermomechanical pulp (TMP) facility will be closed, select equipment will remain operational to support OCC plant operations. The recycled paper bale warehouse will be expanded to accommodate a new rail spur for unloading OCC bales delivered by train. Isomer served as full-time engineering manager with primary responsibility for overseeing external engineering firms, vendors, and constructors, ensuring alignment of all project elements from design through execution.
