Isomer performed FEL2 preliminary design and detailed design for a 25 TPD molded fiber production facility ($40MM+ TIC), which utilizes market pulp to manufacture thermoformed consumer products. The design scope included a new stock prep system (bale handling, repulping, cleaning, refining), thermoforming area, vacuum system, associated utilities and balance of plant systems. Isomer worked with the Owner to evaluate and select long-lead OEM equipment packages during the FEL2, allowing procurement to commence prior to the start of detailed design. The Isomer multidiscipline team worked collaboratively with the Owner and Contractor to fast-track key work packages, which resulted in ground being broken just seven weeks after the beginning of detailed design. This project is currently ongoing, with the projected completion of detailed design being reached just twelve months after the beginning of FEL2 preliminary design.
