Isomer was engaged to perform pre-FEL1 scoping studies and FEL1 design services for a primarily greenfield 150TPD ag-based pulp molded fiber facility. Pre-FEL studies included feedstock sourcing, site location, and byproduct processing technology selection. Isomer also developed a multiphase pulping trials specification and participated in OEM trials to develop the design criteria for the new semi-chem pulp mill, including production runs of test pulp for separate molding trials. Indicative capital cost estimates were developed for the various options studied during the pre-FEL1 phase, intended to serve as basis of scope for the FEL1 preliminary design. The pre-FEL1 was completed within the originally established schedule and budget, with FEL1 preliminary design slated to begin imminently.
