Isomer provided civil engineering design and support for the conceptual (30%) design of a 75 MW-DC solar facility located on 330-acres in Nevada. The project site is located within a floodplain from the surrounding mountain range, and the design completed by Isomer included the flood study to determine the 100-yr flood elevation across the project site utilizing the FLO-2D software. The civil engineering design and drawing package was developed to a level sufficient to support the EPC with pricing development through the solicitation of bids from contractors for the project construction. Deliverables included a flood model and report, preliminary construction drawings (existing conditions, site plan, erosion and sediment control, grading). Isomer engineers worked closely with the electrical subcontractor to optimize the solar array while avoiding site constraints such as extreme grades and floodways.
