250000 SF Finished Sugar Storage Warehouse

Isomer was engaged to perform detailed design engineering to add a $46MM TIC distribution center warehouse expansion at an existing sugar mill and refinery facility. The design effort included a 250,000 square foot ventilated warehouse and truck dock facility, concrete deck truck weigh station to service incoming and outbound trucks, and modifications to existing site stormwater infrastructure. The new warehouse included interior conditioned offices, breakroom, restrooms and maintenance shop and was integrated into the existing warehouse and packaging building via a new 7,000 square foot corridor. The new warehouse utilizes a smart racking system with over 30,000 pallet positions and laser guided vehicles to automate storage, staging, and truck loading. The engineering was successfully completed within the originally established schedule and budget.
