Daniel is an engineering and construction leader with experience across the EPC industry, supporting both conventional heavy industrial markets and emerging technology projects in the industrial and infrastructure sectors. He began his career in structural engineering upon graduation from Clemson University and then served as a lead structural engineer and department group leader before moving into project management and leading large capital projects for a global EPC firm prior to joining Isomer as a partner in early 2021. Over the course of his career, Daniel has had the opportunity to support and help lead complex capital programs valued up to $1B, working with multidisciplinary teams of up to 50 professionals serving global customers. His background includes scaling first-of-a-kind (FOAK) technologies at commercial scale, feasibility and conceptual engineering studies, EPC fast-track execution, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), global workshare, and the development of innovative project tools and systems. He cares deeply about building strong workplace culture, supporting professional growth, and helping teams deliver exceptional results; believing that successful execution is always about aligned teams, trust, communication, and a shared commitment to doing things the right way. In his current role as a partner at Isomer, Daniel is actively involved in growing the team, mentoring and developing professionals at all levels, building lasting client relationships, and leading projects from pursuit through delivery. Daniel is a licensed professional engineer (PE) and structural engineer (SE) in more than 20 U.S. states and an NCEES Record Holder.
Daniel is a proud husband and father of four. He met his wife Laura at Clemson, where they both studied structural engineering. After working together for several years, Laura now teaches classes at the local YMCA and pours her energy into their family and community. You'll often find the Deery family together at one of the kids' sporting events or concerts. Otherwise, they enjoy hiking, camping, traveling to state and national parks, spending the day in Clemson, and serving at Grace Church and in the local community. Daniel is a triathlete, grateful for the strong early morning training community he has found in Greenville. In addition to exercising, when time permits, he enjoys playing guitar and is a passionate fan of Clemson and New England sports teams - a pastime shared with his father and one he has enjoyed passing along to his children.
