Isomer performed FEL1 preliminary engineering design for a first-of-a-kind 1KTPA facility ($45MM+ TIC) to produce Cathode Active Materials for EV batteries, including scale-up from an existing lab-scale processes. The primary process design scope included raw material handling, milling, calcining, and packaging and handling systems. Isomer also developed the balance of plant utility systems designs, and integrated third-party process gas storage and production islands into the facility. In addition to completing the FEL1 design package, Isomer completed multiple conceptual process studies intended to further drive an economically sound design early in the project. Isomer also worked with the Owner to expedite the development of additional technical deliverables required to support applications for federal tax incentives.
