The greenfield project scope included a new 700K STPY kraft liner machine, building, finished goods warehouse and new OCC (old, corrugated cardboard) facility. Existing mill fiberline and electrical systems infrastructure upgrades were planned as well as a coal to natural gas boiler conversion. The planned expansion was designed to accommodate virgin and recycled fiber linerboard production. Isomer personnel supported the owner by filling the following project roles: FEL2 phase project manager and project controls manager, FEL2 phase lead structural, FEL3 phase project controls manager and FEL3 phase engineering manager working alongside the owner engaged third-party engineer and construction manager. In addition, the team developed bid packages for FEL3 phase engineer and overall project construction manager, engaged with the owner during firm evaluations, and provided input to the final selection of the firms.
