GREENVILLE, South Carolina — Ben Childs has joined Isomer Project Group as a Project Engineer to contribute to Isomer's goal of building world-class facilities and solving our clients' biggest challenges. Ben graduated in May 2026 from Clemson University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and previously interned with Isomer, gaining hands-on project experience before joining the team full time.

"We all enjoyed working with Ben during his internship and are excited he chose to join Isomer full time. Ben's focus, professionalism, and knowledge of chemical engineering will be an asset to the team and our clients. He asks thoughtful questions and genuinely cares about getting the work right, and we're looking forward to watching him grow here at Isomer," says Drew Carter, a staff engineer at the company.

While at Clemson, Ben completed a co-op rotation with Thermo Fisher Scientific at their east Florence site and an internship with Isomer Project Group in Greenville, SC. At Thermo Fisher, Ben learned the basics of capital project management, equipment commissioning, and cGMP manufacturing practices. While at Isomer, Ben had the opportunity to contribute to projects across a variety of industries such as wastewater treatment, waste-to-value, and pulp and paper at both the detailed design and FEL level.

"I'm delighted to be joining Isomer full time and am eager to begin contributing to projects with this impressive team. During my internship, it became clear that Isomer values mentorship and prioritizes the growth of its engineers. As a young engineer, I can think of no better place to learn, contribute, and grow. I'm ready to learn everything I can from this talented team!" Says Ben.
