170 TPD Tissue Machine Dry End Rebuild

FEL1 and FEL2 engineering services were provided for a dry end replacement project on an existing 170 TPD tissue machine, as part of a Fleet-wide Rebuild Program. The project's primary driver is sustaining the asset (safety, preservation, end-of-life), with a secondary 20 TPD production increase enabled by a new steel Yankee dryer replacing the existing cast-iron unit and a heavier shift in the product mix toward the lighter basis-weight grade. The project was intended to improve drying performance, operational reliability, and product quality while enabling greater furnish flexibility. Scope included a new Yankee dryer, drives, stainless steel framework, hood, and process air system, plus supporting building, HVAC, and electrical work. Isomer provided a complete FEL2 package, including integration of the OEM package, all balance-of-plant engineering, a priced equipment list, P&ID redlines, demolition and equipment layout drawings, a basis of design, a risk register, and an AACE Class 4 Estimate.
