Shep McArthur

About Shep

After graduating from Clemson University with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Shep began his career in manufacturing before moving into design engineering, where he has spent nearly 20 years. At Jacobs, he focused on the pulp and paper industry, serving as Process Engineer, Project Engineer, and later Process Department Section Manager and Staffing Leader. He then joined Nexus PMG as a Senior Project Engineer and Manager of Process Engineering, where he shifted focus to sustainable infrastructure. His work supported clients in early-stage design and due diligence across advanced recycling, biomass densification, direct air capture, gasification, green hydrogen, pyrolysis, and non-wood pulping. At Isomer, Shep brings technical expertise, project execution experience, and strong communication skills that help translate client needs into effective engineering solutions.

Shep and Shelley met in college and settled in the Upstate of South Carolina, now living in Simpsonville with their two dogs, Barrett and Kimber, and their cat, Frankie. A lifelong motorsport enthusiast, Shep can often be found bouncing down trails in his Jeep, blasting down a drag strip, carving through mountain roads on two or four wheels, or cruising between gas stations in Shelley’s big-block classic C10. When not herding pets or chasing horsepower, Shep and Shelley enjoy time together outdoors, making the most of the beauty the region has to offer.
