Isomer completed a front-end structural study and evaluation of adding rooftop solar panels to multiple existing structures at a chemicals manufacturing facility, as well as the potential for adding panels over existing stormwater infrastructure. Our team performed a site visit to evaluate structures including pre-engineered metal buildings, stick-built equipment platforms, and legacy administrative buildings over 100 years old. Isomer reviewed proposed panel layouts created by the installer for code compliance, and also developed structural calculations to validate the compliance with existing build codes. A feasibility study was also performed to evaluate adding ground-mounted solar panels over an existing stormwater basin, including preliminary estimates of support piling embedment and costs. Isomer provided a summary report of all findings
