Isomer provided front-end civil engineering services and project development support to obtain the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for a 210 MW-DC solar facility located in Arizona. The project site was bisected by a significant area of floodplains/floodway. Preliminary solar generation calculations were performed to simulate the project and determine anticipated output and design specifications (panel type and orientation, pitch, GCR, inverter selection, string length). Isomer engineers worked closely with the client and local authorities to determine the regulations that govern the project and to develop a conceptual site plan detailing the location and orientation of the site infrastructure including: switching station, substation, BESS area, operation and maintenance building, access roads and the solar arrays to maximize the overall system capacity while avoiding wetlands.
