Isomer completed an FEL-1 study for a proposed first-of-a-kind 6 ktpa wet-process battery-grade phosphoric acid (H₃PO₄) plant co-located with a planned 10 ktpa sulfuric acid facility at an existing industrial site. The study established a project summary and preliminary design basis while identifying key development risks and site-specific permitting considerations. An initial process assessment confirmed block flow diagrams and evaluated feasibility of achieving required product purity. Impurity removal strategies, polishing technologies, and HF ventilation and air treatment requirements were assessed to inform process configuration. Deliverables included block flow and PFD markups, utility summaries, preliminary equipment lists, and a conceptual site layout to support early decision making. The effort culminated in development of an AACE Class 5 capital cost estimate to guide investment evaluation. Isomer also developed preliminary 3D renderings of the facility to support fundraising and marketing activities.
