Isomer completed detailed design engineering for a specialty chemical manufacturer upgrading two existing 240V MCCs to 480V Smart MCCs. Field investigations were performed to verify loads served by each MCC, collect motor data, and validate the load list. Isomer evaluated each circuit and recommended which loads should remain at 240V versus conversion to 480V. A revised 120V distribution system was designed to eliminate the existing 240V high-leg delta configuration. Laser scans of congested areas were incorporated into a 3D model to support new tray routing and avoid interferences. Isomer prepared a contractor bid package including cable and conduit schedules, power and lighting plans, details, and scope of work. Following client approval of MCC specifications, Isomer supported supplier identification, bid solicitation, and tabulation.
