EXPERIENCE

Power Plant CCR and ELG Program

This effort included the FEED package, detailed design engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for a $300 million coal-fired power plant regulatory program. Fly ash, bottom ash, and water management conversions were integrated into the existing facility to meet coal combustion residuals (CCR) and effluent limit guideline (ELG) requirements. These projects limit the discharge of coal residuals into landfills and waste streams by adding infrastructure for fly ash and bottom ash storage and handling, closing the ash pond, upgrading water processes to be closed loop where possible, and directing the remaining waste streams to an on-site water treatment area prior to safely discharging off-site. The EPC team integrated 3 major technology packages into the program by providing detailed design engineering for all disciplines. Services also included in-house procurement and self-performed construction.
