The scope of this project included the design of temporary construction facilities (lunch/break tent) to be placed over an existing ditch line to support the EPC contractor's construction of new HRSG units at an existing generating station. The existing ditch line was evaluated for stormwater runoff to confirm its capacity and hydraulic performance under the required design storm conditions. Appropriate measures were then specified and implemented to allow the break area on top of the ditch line while still passing the desired storm flows without adverse impacts. The design deliverables included the preparation of all design drawings for the tent structure and the associated stormwater accommodation measures, supporting the construction and installation of the new HRSG units at the existing generating station.
