170 TPD Tissue Machine Dry End Rebuild

Full-service conceptual design FEL1 engineering services were provided for a dry end replacement project on an existing tissue machine, focused on installation of a new Yankee dryer, hood, and air system to support a furnish transition toward increased use of alternative softwood bleached tissue. The scope addressed replacement of the existing 16-foot diameter Yankee dryer and associated equipment to enable operation with a revised grade blend favoring the lighter basis weight product. Engineering considerations included basis weight changes and production capacity targets. The project was intended to improve drying performance, operational reliability, and product quality while enabling greater furnish flexibility. Isomer provided a complete FEL1 package including a priced equipment list, block flow diagram, basis of design, site layout, and AACE Class 4 Estimate.
