Full-service conceptual design FEL2 services for the infrastructure project to support the Lithium Battery-grade 47ktpa Refrigerant and 10ktpa Electrolyte Facility Expansion projects at an existing chemicals plant in the southeast. Isomer provided a complete FEL2 package for the infrastructure scope to support the Refrigerant and Electrolyte process areas. The infrastructure scope included site master plan, utilities, raw material, intermediate product, and finished product handling, storage, and transportation. The engineering package including a priced equipment list, process flow diagrams, project functional scope, basis of design, scope of facilities and site layout to develop an AACE Class 4 Estimate. The team completed several alternatives analyses and site layout and equipment selection options to assist the client to make business case decisions for the base scope process islands as well as other future expansion projects.
