Clinker Cooler ID Fan Structural Retrofit

This effort included structural detailed design for a clinker cooler retrofit to support a new 200HP ID fan and associated ductwork at an existing cement production facility. Isomer analyzed existing foundations for new static and dynamic loads and developed construction drawings for the new modified pads. Existing steel gravity and lateral framing was modified to provide a path for new process ductwork routing, including design of all duct supports and field connections. Existing steel maintenance platforms were extended to provide access to isolation dampers. Isomer worked with owner to gather relevant existing information remotely, precluding the need for the time and cost of a field investigation. The project was successfully completed within the proposed timeline and engineering budget.
