Isomer performed conceptual through detailed design engineering on multiple sites in California to install EV chargers for semi-trucks. Isomer also assisted the client in conversations with each utility provider to either take power at medium voltage or 480V. Each utility-provided or client-provided transformer was connected to a metering switch, switch gear, and panelboard. Isomer standardized the panel board and transformer size for each project location where possible. Isomer also provided project management support to guide the Owner through the permitting process, conversations with the city and local utilities, preparing RFQ EPC bids, defining the scope of work for multiple contractors, and estimating support. Additional support included multiple site evaluations, designs to Low Impact Development standards, truck-turning simulations, and the incorporation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in select locations.
