Isomer completed detailed design for a maintenance and reliability project on an existing linerboard machine to improve forming section shower system performance and resolve longstanding water quality issues. The project upgraded shower water quality by replacing an underperforming filtration system with three new 1,200 gpm filter skids. Isomer’s scope included development of system tie-ins, updates to P&IDs, and detailed piping design to integrate the new filtration equipment. The filter skids were installed on a new structural platform engineered to tie into an existing platform, minimizing required facility modifications. Contractor work packages were developed to support installation and construction execution. The upgraded system consistently delivers white water with sufficient clarity to enable reliable operation of the existing polishing filter bank.
