Polymer Facility Capacity Increase

The scope of this effort consisted of front-end engineering for a significant capacity increase for an existing polymer facility that produces high-performance elastomers used as replacements for rubber. The project team developed a detailed work scope for eleven process unit areas with 215 Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Multiple site visits, along with ongoing vendor coordination and operations personnel and maintenance personnel coordination, resulted in a fully defined scope with over 450 individual work tasks. The final FEED package included the technical deliverables to define the project scope as well as a class 3 estimate with detailed productivity analysis, level 2 schedule, risk analysis, construction logistics plan, and recommended path forward for final client decision.
