About Tyler

Tyler’s career has consisted of various roles in consulting and manufacturing environments focused on process improvement, production management, environmental compliance, and business development. After graduating from Clemson with a degree in Chemical Engineering, he has gained experience in implementing production management systems, developing KPIs to meet company objectives, developing new business with clients, and establishing training systems. Following his time in a manufacturing setting, Tyler decided to pursue his MBA at Clemson to develop further his understanding of business practices to round out his ability to impact the bottom line. In addition, Tyler enjoys working with others in a team setting, leading by example, and empowering those around him to perform at their best.  Tyler has an exceptional talent for interacting with many disciplines both inside and outside of organizations and bringing them together to solve complex problems.

Tyler and Riley have a son, Davis, and a daughter, Stella. They met at Clemson and moved to Greenville following graduation to start their family. Riley was a 3rd and 4th-grade teacher, but now spends her time at home raising their family. The Smiths love to go for family walks and spend time with family either on the lake, at the beach, or by the pool. Tyler enjoys playing golf, running, riding bikes, and spending time outdoors. A little-known fact is that Tyler’s blood actually runs orange.
