160 TPD Tissue Machine Conversion & Rebuild

Full-service conceptual design FEL1 engineering services were provided for a full rebuild of an existing tissue machine producing towel grades, with conversion to a furnish incorporating alternative softwood bleached tissue. The project scope encompassed comprehensive upgrades across the wet and dry ends of the machine to support operation at increased production rates. Engineering efforts addressed furnish transition requirements, basis weight changes, and process modifications necessary to accommodate a mixed towel and tissue grade production, with a range of basis weights. The rebuilt machine was designed to operate at an increased production rate while maintaining product quality and runnability. The project focused on modernizing equipment, improving operational efficiency, and enabling long-term flexibility in furnish selection. Isomer provided a complete FEL1 package including a priced equipment list, block flow diagram, basis of design, site layout, and AACE Class 4 Estimate.
