EXPERIENCE

Activated Carbon Honeycomb Facility Expansion

The project included front-end engineering and detailed design for a multi-year facility expansion at a honeycomb scrubber plant to facilitate a six-fold increase in production capacity. The project scope included a dry powder batching process, extrusion, drying, automated visual inspection, and high-pressure water jet cutting. Preliminary engineering activities included the development of project schedules and sequencing based on customer capacity forecasts, factored and detailed cost estimates, Major Equipment List, Utility Balance, and Site Plan drawings. Detailed design engineering included purchase requisition package development and procurement support for all equipment packages, vendor data review, P&ID development including tie-in identification, General Arrangement drawing creation, Piping Plan drawing creation, and electrical infrastructure additions necessary for additional equipment.
