Cement Plant Site Logistics Study

Isomer provided civil engineering support for a site logistics study at a cement manufacturing plant, assessing existing truck routes and developing rough order of magnitude (ROM) pricing to address access challenges caused by heavy traffic congestion. Existing internal plant traffic patterns created access issues stemming from vehicle queuing for product loadout, which was observed even at low volumes of truck traffic. After observing site conditions, Isomer developed several options (at various levels of capital investment) that were jointly reviewed with the Owner to determine the most viable path(s) forward. After completion of the alternatives analysis, a ROM level estimate was prepared for two (2) proposed options to re-direct traffic to the loadout area and alleviate the congestion observed at the plant entrance.
