EXPERIENCE

Cooling Tower Rehabilitation

Isomer completed detailed design engineering for the replacement of a Cooling Tower and rehabilitation of the existing distribution pumps and piping. Isomer’s scope included P&ID updates and validation of the water balance to ensure the existing underground pipes could be utilized. Site visits were conducted to visually inspect the steel and determine the approach to repair or replacement. A boroscope scope of work was written for the client to solicit bids, outlining contractor qualifications, current conditions, scope boundaries, work to be performed on-site, deliverables required post-visit, and safety requirements. Isomer also issued piping isometrics and special pipe supports for the existing lines to be tied into the existing cooling towers. Instrument datasheets were prepared and issued for bid, resulting in a bid tabulation that was reviewed with the client for approval before being revised and reissued for purchase.
