Isomer performed conceptual engineering to evaluate the integration of multiple liquid waste feedstock streams into an existing wastewater treatment plant’s anaerobic digestion (AD) system. The project included developing mass balances and process flow diagrams for the proposed additional liquid waste co-digestion unit operation for liquid waste. Isomer provided a conceptual site layout with the proposed equipment additions and infrastructure considering existing facility constraints at the existing site. The project estimated capital costs and supported development of annual O&M costs including labor, consumables, utilities, and maintenance. Isomer interfaced with vendors to determine the optimal equipment to support the new feedstock, including any pretreatment that would need to take place to prepare the feedstock before entering the AD system.
