Riley started his career at a large EPC firm as a structural engineer after graduating from Clemson University with a master’s degree in civil engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer (PE) with experience across a variety of heavy industrial markets. He has served as the lead structural engineer on projects ranging from minor plant modifications and repairs to significant greenfield EPC projects. He has extensive experience in the pulp and paper, specialty chemicals, and food and beverage manufacturing industries. He enjoys being part of the complete project life cycle, from early feasibility studies through detailed design, bringing his strong attention to detail and passion for bringing the best version of a design to life.
Riley grew up in Greenville, SC, and now lives near downtown with his wife, Grace, their son, Bennett, and their energetic Cavapoo, Ruby. Grace works part-time as a nurse at Prisma Hospital. They are both heavily involved at Grace Church Downtown, where they lead groups of middle school students. In his spare time, Riley enjoys playing volleyball, golf, and tennis with friends. He also loves spending time with his family on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, often stopping for a treat at The Commons or Swamp Rabbit Cafe along the way.
