1MM TPY Bagasse Pellet Facility for SAF Production

Front-end engineering services for a pelletized bagasse feedstock production facility intended to supply SAF projects. The scope included engineering design of an integrated system to receive, store, size, dry, pelletize, and cool sugarcane bagasse generated at co-located sugarcane mills. The objective was to convert an abundant agricultural byproduct into a consistent, transportable solid feedstock suitable for downstream SAF conversion processes. The design also addressed modifications to existing site utilities, including replacement of legacy bagasse-fired boilers with new natural gas–fired boilers of equivalent steam-generating capacity to support sugar mill operations while improving reliability and emissions performance. The project scope further included a carbon capture system to recover CO₂ from boiler flue gas and inject it into an existing pipeline network. The FEED package was developed to de-risk execution and support future financing and detailed engineering.
